The Studio Awards were created to recognize studios who excel in a specific genre of dance.

Fine Print:

• There is no fee for entry.
• Studios must nominate at least 3 group routines, in one specific genre, in 3 different age divisions (out of the Mini, Jr, Tn, Sr) to be eligible for a Studio Award. Studios can enter all 4 age divisions, if they choose, and then the highest 3 scores will be combined.
• The studio with the highest combined score for their 3 nominated (or 3 highest) routines will be awarded the Studio Award in that genre (Best Tap Studio, Best Jazz Studio, etc).
• To win a Studio Award and the cash prize, a studio must have a minimum combined score of 870 for their three routines.
• The Studio Award nominated routines will compete normally in the Finals Competition.
• Studio Award nominated routines can only compete in the Mini, Junior, Teen and/or Senior age division. PeeWee and Open group routines are not eligible for this award.
• Studios can choose from the following genres: Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Ballroom, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Hip-Hop or Lyrical.
• Studios may compete in multiple genres, however they may only win one Studio Award. A studio will be awarded in whichever genre they received the highest combined score.
• The winner for each Studio Award will receive $2,500 in Las Vegas & $5,000 in Orlando.
• Best Studio Award routines are not allowed to “age up.”
• Studio Award nominations are able to be changed up until the first routine (of any kind) competes at The Dance Awards. Once competition at The Dance Awards has started, there can be no changes to nominations for any reason.
• Entering the Studio Award competition does not have any effect on the Studio Of The Year competition.
• Studio Award winners will be announced at the Closing Awards show.
• Please note that Studio Award Winners can win a maximum amount of $7,500. This $7,500 award money shall supersede any other studio prize money from The Dance Awards, possibly forfeiting some smaller group prize amounts won throughout the week. For example: "ABC Dance Studio" ( Las Vegas Studio Award Winner of $2,500) wins a total of $6,000 in prize money from a combination of High Score Awards, Best Performance Awards, etc. "ABC Dance Studio" forfeits anything over $7,500. HOWEVER, "ABC Dance Studio" will still receive any individual cash awards (High Score Solos, Best Dancers, Best Choreographers or Best Costume Designer etc.).
• All prizes, stipends, scholarships, or other benefits may be considered taxable income under U.S. law.
• Winners are solely responsible for any and all federal, state, or local taxes associated with their prize(s).
• Foreign participants may be required to complete applicable IRS forms (such as Form W-8BEN) prior to receiving any prize or stipend.
• Under U.S. tax regulations and certain international tax treaties, DanceOne may be required to withhold and remit U.S. taxes from payments made to foreign participants — even if the participant provides a completed W-8 form.
• DanceOne will issue required tax forms (such as Form 1042-S for foreign recipients or Form 1099-MISC for U.S. recipients) in accordance with U.S. law.
• Any monetary stipends or prize payments will be distributed by December 31, 2026, unless otherwise stated in writing.
• DanceOne reserves the right to revoke participation, awards, or future invitations if a dancer, parent, or studio engages in unprofessional, disruptive, or unsafe conduct.
• Participation in all DanceOne events is voluntary and at the participant’s own risk.
• DanceOne, its affiliates, sponsors, and staff are not liable for any personal injury, property damage, loss, or other claims arising from participation, travel, or attendance at any event.
• DanceOne reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel any rule, award, or opportunity at any time without notice, in its sole discretion.
• All decisions of the DanceOne Producers and Directors are final and binding.
