WHAT’S IN THE SHOW?

Gala Performances

Best Performance Nominees

  • The top FIVE overall high scores out of all the Group, Line, Extended Line, and Production divisions from each of the Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior age divisions are eligible for the Best Performance Award.
  • The top five highest scoring Finals group routines, in each age division, will be announced during each individual Finals group award ceremonies. These top five routines, in each age division, are the Best Performance Nominees and will re-compete during the Awards Show.
  • PLEASE NOTE: A Studio may be represented by only ONE number in each of the Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior divisions. If a particular studio were to have the top two or three scores in a division, we would then go down the list to find the next highest score with a different studio name.
  • The overall highest scoring PeeWee routine (out of all of the Group, Line, Extended Line and Production divisions) will be announced at the PeeWee group routine awards. That routine will be the PeeWee Best Performance Winner and perform in the Awards Show!
  • The overall highest scoring Open routine (out of all of the Group, Line, Extended Line and Production divisions) will be announced at the Open group routine awards. That routine will be the Open Best Performance Winner and perform in the Awards Show!

Best In Studio Award Winners

  • Studios that bring 50+ dancers and 30+ routines (10 or more which must be group routines) will qualify for a “Best In Studio” award, which will be chosen by consensus of the judges. Best In Studio Award Winners will be announced at the last group finals awards ceremony.
  • Best In Studio routines will re-perform during the Awards Show.
  • If a studio’s Best In Studio routine is different than a studio’s Best Performance nominated routine(s) then they will be invited to also perform their Best In Studio routine during the Awards Show. However, if a studio’s Best In Studio routine is the same as one of their Best Performance nominated routines, then that routine will only re-compete during the Best Performance competition during the show.
